The Ministry of Small Business Development (MSCM) was established in April 2015. It came about as a result of the Lesotho Government's decision in April 2015 to break-down the former Ministry of Trade and Industry, Co-operatives, and Marketing (MTICM) so that the small business sector could be given special support as a vehicle for expanding employment opportunities, promoting economic growth and eliminating poverty.
